Arrest after shots fired near Sikh Temple in Chapeltown

A man has been arrested on suspicion of firearms offences in connection with a shooting incident on Good Friday.

Officers were called to Chapeltown Road, Chapeltown, Leeds, following reports of shots having been fired near the Sikh Temple at about 12:30 GMT.

No-one was injured but West Yorkshire Police said a number of vehicles had been damaged.

A 29-year-old man was arrested in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, on Sunday and remains in custody.

Three men arrested on Friday and Saturday have been released on bail.
