Mum with baby one of two women stabbed in Bradford

Two women were stabbed within 20 minutes of each other in separate attacks in Bradford.

One of the women was pushing a baby in a pram when she was attacked on Keighley Road at 10:12 GMT on Friday. The child was unharmed, police said

Earlier, just after 09:50, a woman in her 50s was stabbed on Scotchman Road, Manningham.

A 52-year-old woman, who remains in custody, was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Officers found the mother, who was in her 30s, stabbed close to The Parkside Centre in Frizinghall.

A knife was recovered.

West Yorkshire Police said both women suffered a single stab wound to their backs.

They were separately taken to hospital and later discharged from hospital.
