Driver jailed over Amy Lancashire death

A man has been jailed for 30 months after a 23-year-old woman was hit and killed by a car he was driving.

Amy Lancashire, 23, was struck by a Vauxhall Astra as she crossed Kirkstall Road, in Leeds, in September 2014.

Miss Lancashire, from Armley, was taken to hospital but died shortly afterwards.

Daniel Coustol, 26, of Leeds Road, Rawdon, was sentenced over a charge of death by dangerous driving at Leeds Crown court.
