Fans have lined the streets to welcome Leeds Rhinos return to the city after their record-breaking Challenge Cup win at Wembley.

The team travelled to Headingley on an open top bus before arriving at the stadium on Kirkstall Lane.

Crowds gathered along the route, which went past the Skyrack, Original Oak and The Box pubs before turning left at North Lane.

Leeds beat Hull KR 50-0, the biggest ever margin of victory in a cup final.

It was also the second successive win for the Rhinos in the Challenge Cup.

The players were met with a rapturous reception when they entered the stadium to celebrate the historic win.

Before the match took place at Wembley, Lizzie Jones, the widow of former Keighley Cougars player Danny Jones, sang the traditional cup final hymn Abide With Me.

The 29-year-old singer lost her husband following a match against London Skolars in May.

She said the occasion was a thank you to players, fans and officials for their support since her husband's death.
