Man in court over fatal Leeds street attack

A man has appeared in court charged with manslaughter after a street attack in Leeds.

A 52-year-old man, who has not yet been named, was punched to the ground in High Street, Yeadon, on Sunday, West Yorkshire Police said.

He died in hospital on Thursday.

Vincent Greaves, 24, of Silver Cross Way, Guiseley, appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court where he was remanded in custody to appear at the city's crown court on 19 June.

The victim had been in The Aviator pub where a separate altercation took place minutes before he was assaulted in the street, at about 00:45 BST.

Detectives have released CCTV of potential witnesses and urged them to get in touch.
