A 21-year-old man from Leeds has been charged with malicious communication following the stabbing to death of teacher Ann Maguire.

Jake Newsome, from the Harehills area, was bailed to appear before Leeds Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 14 May.

West Yorkshire Police said another man, a 42-year-old from Port Talbot, had been arrested over a similar offence.

Mrs Maguire, 61, was stabbed during a lesson at Corpus Christi College on Monday.

A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has been charged with Mrs Maguire's murder and is due to stand trial in November.
