Tropical World in Leeds to close for a month for refurbishment
A wildlife attraction in Leeds is to close for a month for refurbishment work.
Tropical World at Roundhay Park will shut on Monday and reopen on 3 February, said Leeds City Council.
The closure will see the facility undergo its annual spring clean and is part of a £720,000 revamp of the site.
This includes a new crocodile enclosure and viewing bridge. The project is expected to be completed by Easter 2015.
This work was described by the council as the most significant since Tropical World opened in 1984.
The improvements were funded by the council and a donation from the Ziff family, patrons of the attraction.
