An 89-year-old man who went missing after going to buy his wife a birthday present is receiving hospital treatment after he was found lying in a field.
George King, from Wakefield, was last seen on Friday morning when he left his home in Peacock Avenue.
West Yorkshire Police said the force helicopter spotted Mr King lying next to his mobility scooter in a field near Walton at 18:15 BST.
He is being treated for dehydration, a spokesman said.
Over the weekend police appealed for help to find Mr King, saying they were becoming "increasingly concerned" for his welfare.
Det Ch Insp Adrian Taylor said: "We are really pleased to have found George after a major three-day search involving extensive police resources including the force helicopter, specialist search officers and local neighbourhood policing teams.
"The response from the public locally has been fantastic and we wish to thank them.
"Clearly it is very early days and Mr King will be receiving full medical assessments at hospital."
