Man in court accused of Kimberley Frank and Samantha Sykes' murders

An 18-year-old man has appeared in court charged with the murders of two teenagers who were found stabbed at a flat in West Yorkshire.

Ahmad Otak appeared before Wakefield magistrates over the deaths of Kimberley Frank and Samantha Sykes.

Mr Otak, from Linton Road, Wakefield, is also accused of the kidnap and false imprisonment of Miss Frank's sister, Elisa, and of possessing a knife.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.

The bodies of Miss Frank, 17, and Miss Sykes, 18, were found in a flat in Barden Road, Eastmoor.

Post-mortem examinations carried out on Sunday revealed Miss Frank, who lived in Barden Road, and Miss Sykes, from Horbury, also in West Yorkshire, died as a result of stab wounds.
