Hurricane marks Blitz anniversary

Help

A World War II Hurricane fighter has performed a flypast over Hull to mark the 70th anniversary of the worst two nights of the Hull Blitz.

More than 300 bombs were dropped on the city in 82 German air raids between 7 and 9 May 1941, killing 420 people.

The Hurricane twice circled the city's Carnegie Heritage Centre at West Park, which is staging a Hull Blitz exhibition.
