A new £2.5m bus station has opened in Leeds providing passengers with an enclosed waiting area and real-time departure board information.

Services from the facility in Pudsey started running on Sunday and those which previously ran from Church Lane moved to the site.

Officials at Metro, which co-ordinates transport in West Yorkshire, said the station had 24-hour CCTV for safety.

An opening ceremony for the station will be announced in the coming weeks.
