A man arrested in connection with the death of a scooter rider in a crash with a car that was performing a U-turn has been released without charge.

Daniel Faber, 29, was hit by a Mercedes on Central Drive in Blackpool on 21 December.

A 27-year-old man riding a second scooter alongside Mr Faber was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

He has been released without charge, Lancashire Police said.

A woman is due to voluntarily attend a police interview at a later date as the investigation into the crash continues, the force added.

The driver of the car was not arrested.

Mr Faber was expecting a baby with fiancée Natalie, his family said.
