Brian Carroll named as driver who died in Kirkham crash

A 78-year-old man who died in a car crash in Lancashire has been named.

Brian Carroll was involved in a crash with another car in Blackpool Road near to the Ribby Hall roundabout in Kirkham at about 09:40 BST on Monday.

His family said he was well known locally as a former landlord at The Top House pub in Kirkham and The Highgate in Newton.

In a statement paying tribute they said he would be "sorely missed by all who knew him".
