Haslingden petrol station van crash victim named

A man who died after being hit by a van outside a petrol station in a Lancashire town has been named.

Matthew Taylor was walking along Manchester Road in Haslingden when the collision happened, close to the Jet petrol station on Wednesday.

The 43-year-old father-of-four was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital, where he later died.

Lancashire Police have appealed for witnesses. The van driver stopped at the scene and was not arrested.
