Boy, 17, charged over man's stabbing in Preston

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with wounding and possession of a knife after a man was stabbed in the stomach.

A fight behind the Black Horse pub in Preston, Lancashire, was reported at 17:00 GMT on Monday.

An 18-year-old man was stabbed in his stomach and is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

The 17-year-old boy was due to appear at Preston Youth Court on Wednesday. A 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of wounding has been bailed.

Four other people aged between 13 and 25 and from Preston have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
