Clayton Brook stabbing: Man arrested for attempted murder, victim critically ill

A man has been arrested for attempted murder after a stabbing in Preston left a man critically ill in hospital.

The 28-year-old was attacked outside a Spar shop on Tunley Holme in Clayton Brook on Sunday.

Lancashire Police said the victim suffered a number of serious stab wounds and was lucky to survive.

Carl Barton, 32, who has addresses in Greenwood, Clayton Brook, Longacre and Bamber Bridge, is in custody, said police.
