Police are searching for a convicted sex offender who has breached the conditions of her release from prison.

Leanne Gilder, 29, was jailed for five years in 2012 after she was found guilty at Manchester Crown Court of causing or inciting child prostitution.

Her victim was a 14-year-old girl, who was plied with drugs and sexually abused by a man.

She was released in September and last seen in Preston but is now wanted for failing to tell police her address.

Gilder, who may have links to Blackpool and Preston, is 5ft 7ins, slim, with long hair which is now believed to be dyed bright red.

She is subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order for life, meaning she is required to notify police of her whereabouts.

Det Insp Jo Dent, of Lancashire Constabulary, said: "I would appeal to anyone who has seen Gilder or who has any information about where she might be to contact us.

"I would also urge Gilder herself to hand herself into the police."
