Jonjo Highton stabbing: Five more people charged

Another five people have been charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenager in Preston.

Jonjo Highton, 18, from Preston, died in St Stephen's Road on 20 August. A post-mortem examination found he was killed by a blade wound to the neck.

Joshua Bore, 19, of Morris Road, Ribbleton has been charged with murder.

The latest charges brings the total number of people charged in connection with the investigation to 13, eight of whom have been charged with murder.

Seven other men from the Preston area have already faced charges of murder over the 18-year-old's death.

They are Minhaj Musa, 20 of Deepdale Road; Sabaar Dal, 19 of Alice Square; Owen Whitesmith, 19, of Glebe Close; Arron Graham, 22 of Ripon Street; Craig Walton, 26, of Watling Street Road; Stephen Walton, 23, of no fixed address and Zaahid Patel, 19, of Park Avenue.

A 32-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have been charged with assisting an offender.

A 28-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man have been charged with conspiracy to pervert the course of justice.

Joshua Bore and the 16-year-old are due at Preston Magistrates' Court later.
