Adam Stirrup death: Murder charge over Heysham caravan park stabbing

A man has been charged with murder after a double stabbing at a Lancashire caravan park.

Adam Stirrup, 28, was found along with a 26-year-old woman at Stud Farm Holiday Park in Heysham on Sunday.

Both had serious stab wounds and were taken to hospital where Mr Stirrup died. The woman is critically ill.

Gareth Mason, 26, of Westminster Road, Morecambe, has been charged with Mr Stirrup's murder and the attempted murder of the woman.

Police believe he was known to both victims.

He was remanded in custody to appear before Lancaster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
