A man has died after falling into a canal, Lancashire Police have said.
The body of Melvyn Ashe, 63, was recovered from the Leeds-Liverpool canal at Blackburn, opposite the old Infirmary on Bolton Road at 08:00 GMT.
Mr Ashe, from Blackburn, was married with two grown-up children.
Officers believe he had been on a night out with his brother in the town centre and was walking home along the canal path. Police believe his death was an accident.
