Brendan Lally death: Two people released on police bail

A 42-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman have been release on police bail after a man's body was discovered at a house in Burnley.

Brendan Lally, 51, of Springfield Bank was found in Reed Street shortly before 23:30 GMT on Wednesday.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from head and neck injuries.

One woman and two men, who were initially arrested along with the two others on suspicion of murder, have now been released without charge.

Police said the death continues to be treated as unexplained, with the investigation continuing.
