A mother who took indecent photographs of a young girl and distributed them when she was heavily pregnant has been jailed for two years.
Police said the offences related to one girl and were carried out in Blackpool, Lancashire, in April.
Susan Smith, 42, admitted two counts of taking an indecent photograph of a child and two counts of distributing an indecent photograph of a child.
She was sentenced at Preston Crown Court on Tuesday.
Smith, of no fixed address, was sentenced to two years for each count to run concurrently.
Det Insp Tony Baxter, from Lancashire Constabulary's Western Division Public Protection Unit, said: "These are very serious offences, made all the more disturbing given the fact that this woman is a mother herself and was heavily pregnant at the time she committed these crimes.
"Taking and distributing indecent images of children essentially amounts to child abuse and we will not tolerate this behaviour.
"Smith deserves to be behind bars and I do hope the family of the child involved can take some comfort from today's sentencing.
"This has been a very difficult period of time for them and I would like to commend them for the way they have conducted themselves.
"They have been offered specialist support throughout the investigation and we will continue to support them for as long as they need it."
