Police memorabilia goes on show in new museum

Police memorabilia will go on show in Lancashire, as a new police museum opens.

Among the items on display will be police uniforms from the 1930s onwards, batons, inspectors' canes and helmets.

There will also be a display on Lancaster's infamous murderer from the 1930s - Buck Ruxton, who killed his lover and maid.

It will be based in the police contact centre at Lancaster bus station from Wednesday.

The centre will also be used for drop-in sessions.
