Man dies after Lancashire van and car crash

A man has died after his car crashed into a van on a main road into a Lancashire village.

The driver of a Ford Focus was involved in a collision with a Renault Trafic van on the A683 outside Hornby.

The crash, which was attended by fire, police and ambulance crews, happened at about 0840 BST on Tuesday.

The Ford driver was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The driver of the van was uninjured.
