Police probe Blackpool Transport hardship fund theft
- Published
Allegations that thousands of pounds have been stolen from Blackpool Transport's staff benevolence fund are being investigated by police.
Lancashire Police were contacted after union officials discovered that £10,000 was missing from the hardship fund.
A police spokesman said the investigation was "still in its very early stages".
Blackpool Transport said the scheme was funded by workers themselves and had nothing to do with the company.
