A 29-year-old man from Bolton has been arrested in connection with the robbery and assault of a woman, 40, who owns a music shop in Lancashire.

The owner of the Arietta shop on Bridge Street in Darwen suffered cuts requiring hospital treatment after being attacked twice in two weeks during attempted robberies.

She was threatened with a knife at around 1900 GMT on Wednesday as she got into her car on Bath Street.

Two weeks earlier she was threatened in her shop by two men who demanded money.

In the both incidents, the culprits made off empty handed.

Lancashire Police have released an e-fit of a man they are keen to trace in relation to Wednesday's robbery and assault and the one in the music shop on 20 October at around 2110 GMT and have asked anyone with any information to contact them.

The man they are looking for is described as Asian, in his late 20s, 5' 11" tall of slim build with a northern accent.
