Petrol bombs thrown at Chorley house

Arsonists hurled home-made petrol bombs at a house in Lancashire, in what police have described as a targeted attack.

The house in Badgers Walk, Chorley, was struck at about 0200 BST on Sunday. The wall was damaged but nobody was injured.

Lancashire Police are appealing for anyone with any information to contact them.

Det Sgt John Entwisle said: "We are treating this extremely seriously."

He added: "Luckily this incident only resulted in damage to the exterior of the premises but it could have had far more serious consequences for the family inside.

"I believe this property was targeted specifically and I am keen for anyone with any information which could help us catch the offenders to get in touch."
