Vandals damage ambulance station in Darwen

Vandals have caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to an ambulance station in Lancashire.

They kicked the door of Darwen ambulance station, between 2000 BST on Saturday and 0800 BST on Monday. It will cost £400 to repair.

Police are investigating and have appealed to witnesses to get in touch.

"The ambulance service provides a vital public service and this mindless act of vandalism is not acceptable," Pc Heather Kerr said.
