Maidstone murder charge after Andrew Jenkins shot dead

A man has been charged with the murder of a man who was shot dead in Kent.

Andrew Jenkins, 54, from Rochester, was found in Cambridge Crescent, Maidstone, on Sunday at about 10:45 GMT with gunshot wounds.

Jeffery Mills is accused of murder, possession of ammunition without a firearms licence and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Magistrates remanded the 54-year-old, of Cambridge Crescent, in custody ahead of a crown court hearing on 21 March.
