Teenager in hospital after hit-and-run in Harvel, Kent

A man has been arrested after a teenage boy was injured in a hit-and-run in Kent.

The youth was in White Horse Road, Harvel, when he was hit by a dark-coloured "4x4-style vehicle" at about 21:30 GMT on Friday.

Police believe the car was travelling in the direction of Snodland.

A 36-year-old man from Longfield was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He currently remains in custody.

On Saturday, officers searching for the car recovered a vehicle which was found alight in Park Hill, Meopham.

The boy remains in a serious condition in a London hospital.
