Woman dies after mobility scooter crash in Folkestone

A 94-year-old woman has died after her mobility scooter collided with a car in Folkestone.

The crash happened on Friday at 14:37 BST in Sandgate Road, near the junction with Manor Road.

Kent Police said the scooter collided with a red Land Rover Freelander. The woman was taken to hospital where she died on Saturday. Her next of kin have been informed.

Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
