Relatives have paid tribute to a mother and toddler found dead at a flat in Kent.

Lillian Oluk , 36, and two-year-old Lynne Elizabeth Mutumba were discovered inside the Trafalgar Street property, in Gillingham, on 14 March.

Their family said it was "shocked and overcome with grief" over their deaths.

Kent Police said neither death was being treated as suspicious. Post-mortem examinations were inconclusive and further tests are expected.

In a statement, relatives described Ms Oluk as a "beautiful, loving, talented and caring person and a truly wonderful mother" who was "fun-loving" and a "very good dancer."

It added: "She and her daughter were taken from us just when it seemed everything was going right for them and the two had their whole life ahead of them to look forward to.

"It seems so cruel. We will dearly miss the two of them."

The Health and Safety Executive investigated but passed the case back to police.
