Marc Traylor charged with Hersden daughter murder bid

A father has been charged with the attempted murder of his teenage daughter who was stabbed.

Marc Traylor , 41, was shot by officers on 9 February, hours after his 16-year-old daughter was found with stab wounds at a house in Hersden, near Canterbury.

On Thursday, Kent Police said the Crown Prosecution Service had authorised a charged of attempted murder.

Mr Traylor was critically injured but later discharged from hospital.

The shooting has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission because a police firearm was discharged.
