Lorry driver in court over Southborough 13-vehicle crash

A lorry driver has appeared in court after a crash involving 13 vehicles near Tunbridge Wells.

Mariusz Sudol, 34, of St Mark's Avenue, Northfleet, is charged with two offences of dangerous driving and one of failing to stop.

Mr Sudol communicated through a Polish interpreter when he appeared at Sevenoaks Magistrates' Court.

He did not enter a plea and is due to appear at Maidstone Crown Court on 4 April.

Three people were injured, none seriously, in the collision on London Road in Southborough at about 15:30 BST on 10 June.
