A woman who was killed when her car hit a stationary lorry on the M20 in Kent was "the life and soul of the party", her family has said.

In a tribute, they said 74-year-old Susan Mellor "would want to be remembered laughing and dancing".

The collision was on the hard shoulder of the London-bound carriageway, near junction seven, at 05:00 GMT on Sunday.

A 39-year-old lorry driver, from the Czech Republic, was held on suspicion of causing death by careless driving.

He was released on bail pending further inquiries until 6 March next year.

The mother-of-three, from Maidstone, was described by her family as well known throughout west Kent with many friends in the Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells areas.
