Seven charged after Cuxton Marina guns seizure
Seven people have been charged with importing and possessing firearms after guns and ammunition were seized from a van as it left a Kent marina.
The National Crime Agency said officers seized 22 automatic assault rifles, nine machine pistols, 58 magazines, two silencers and 1,000 ammunition rounds.
The guns were found in a van which was tracked from France and arrived at Cuxton Marina on Tuesday.
The agency said the seizure was the largest of its kind in the UK.
Three men and a woman were arrested near the A228 in Cuxton and three men were held in Orpington.
They were remanded in custody to appear by video link before Medway magistrates later.
A man arrested in Swanley was released on bail.
