Three injured in Margate police car crash

Two police officers and driver have been injured in a crash between a marked Kent Police car and a taxi in Margate.

The cars crashed on the A28 Canterbury Road at the junction with Westbook Avenue at about 01:55 on Saturday.

The white Skoda Octavia police car then hit the wall of a garden.

The driver of the Vauxhall Zafira taxi suffered chest injuries and the two officers in the police car were treated for neck and arm injuries.

PC Jamie Woodhams said: "The incident caused extensive damage to both vehicles and also to the wall of a property."

Any witnesses are asked to contact police.
