Flood-hit park in Worthing reopens to public

A park in West Sussex which was closed in July because of flooding has reopened to the public.

Homefield Park in Worthing had to shut on 28 July when a month's worth of rain fell in the space of an hour, overwhelming local drainage systems.

The council said work had been carried out to clean the flood-affected areas in the park and the playground, skate park and paths were disinfected.

It also advised people using the park to wash their hands after visiting.
