Hythe man charged with Royal Military Canal sex attack

A 30-year-old man has been charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a woman aged in her 20s on a canal footpath in Kent.

The man, from Hythe, is also charged with false imprisonment, outraging public decency and robbery.

The charges relate to an alleged attack at about 07:30 BST on 22 June on the Royal Military Canal footpath, near Seabrook Road, Hythe.

The man was appearing at Medway Magistrates' Court.
