Winter Olympic champion Lizzy Yarnold is to be honoured with a parade through her Kent home town in an open-top bus.

The 25-year-old, who won Great Britain's only gold medal at the Sochi Games in the women's skeleton, comes from West Kingsdown, near Sevenoaks.

The victory parade will take place through Sevenoaks and the surrounding villages on 21 March.

Sevenoaks District Council said the tour would begin in Sevenoaks and visit Eyensford, Otford and West Kingsdown.

It will be stopping off at a number of schools on the way.

Details of the route will be published on the district council website on Monday.
