Detective Adrian Grew killed in Kent bus collision
A driver who died when his car collided with a bus was a serving detective constable with Kent Police, the county's police federation has said.
Adrian Grew had recently joined the Serious Crime Directorate after working in Tonbridge for several years, a Kent Police Federation spokesman said.
Chairman Ian Pointon said Det Con Grew was a popular and talented officer and "an excellent detective".
The crash happened on the A21 in Kent at 18:20 GMT on Monday.
Kent Police has not yet formally named the officer.
Mr Grew died in the collision at the Scotney Castle roundabout on the Lamberhurst bypass.
No passengers were on the double-decker bus and the driver was not injured.
Mr Pointon said Mr Grew had had a wife and a baby son.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Adrian's family, friends and colleagues at this hugely tragic time," he said.
