Police have released details of a man they want to trace in connection with a multi-million pound cannabis factory.

Up to 6,000 plants were found growing in a derelict council office building West Hill, Dartford, Kent on 26 August.

Kent Police said they wanted to speak to Stefan Nardi, who claims be 37 years old and Italian, and is thought to have links to Deptford, south-east London.

The force estimates the plants, found over two floors of the building, had a street value of between £2m and £4m.

'Growing everywhere'

Det Sgt Rik Spicer, of the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: "We have been following up several lines of enquiry following the discovery of this multi-million pound cannabis production in Dartford.

"We have released an image of a man who goes under the name of Stefan Nardi, although this could well be an alias.

"If you know this man, who is believed to have links to Deptford, or have any information about his whereabouts, I'd urge you to contact us."

The cannabis plants were growing in every office, and special lighting and ventilation had been installed for their cultivation, according to Kent Police.
