Man cleared after Paddock Wood cannabis haul found

A man who faced a drugs charge after cannabis resin with an estimated street value of £1.5m was found in Kent has been cleared at Maidstone Crown Court.

Marek Sieprawski, 34, of no fixed abode, was found not guilty of conspiring to supply class B drugs.

His co-defendant Danny Malone, 43, of Collier Street, Tonbridge, admitted the charge at a hearing at the same court on 17 May.

Sentencing of Malone was adjourned to a date still to be set.

Boxes filled with 440lb (200kg) of the drug were discovered in two vans in a gated driveway in Queen Street, Paddock Wood, in March.
