Gary Pocock murder: Four arrested in Leysdown inquiry

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a man whose half-naked body was found on a beach.

Kent Police said three men and a 15-year-old boy are being questioned about the death of Gary Pocock, 34.

His body was found just before 06:00 BST in Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey on 7 August.

Two men aged 44 and 20 from Manor Park, north London have been arrested along with a man aged 20 from Benfleet, Essex and a boy aged 15 from Warden, Sheppey.

Three people arrested after Mr Pocock's body was found were released without charge.

A post mortem examination showed Mr Pocock, 34, of Dagenham, east London died from significant head injuries.

His body, stripped from the waist down, was found between the Little Groves caravan site and Isle of Sheppey Holiday Village.

Police have said Mr Pocock was known to have spent a lot of time on the Isle of Sheppey.

Officers are still appealing for anyone with information about his death to come forward.
