Fire at Kemsley Paper Mill brought under control

A fire at a paper factory in Kent has been brought under control.

The blaze at the Kemsley Paper Mill began in the drying section of one of the paper machines in the three-storey building in Ridham Avenue, Kemsley.

Six crews of firefighters were sent to the scene at about 17:45 GMT on Tuesday, and took more than three hours to bring the flames under control.

No-one was injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The extent of the damage is not known.
