Sevenoaks railway station evacuated after train fire

Sevenoaks railway station in Kent was evacuated after a fire broke out on a passenger train.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to the station at 22:15 BST on Friday after the fire was reported.

Four fire engines were called to the train station and the blaze was put out just after 22:30.

There were no reports of any casualties, the fire service said. British Transport police are investigating the cause of the fire.

One passenger, who was on the 22:00 train from London Charing Cross, said he was stuck on a train at Sevenoaks for an hour.

His train arrived at Tunbridge Wells at 00:15.
