Greenhithe shooting: Father and son charged with GBH with intent

A father and son have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent after a 51-year-old man was shot in Kent.

Billy Smith, 42, of Hillhouse Road, Stone, and Billy Nelson Smith, 24, of Moorhen Walk in Greenhithe are due to appear at Chatham Magistrates Court.

Police were called to a shooting on Monday at Moorhen Walk in Greenhithe.

A man was treated for shotgun wounds at Darenth Valley Hospital. He is said to be in a stable condition.

Three women have also been arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A 19-year-old woman and a 44-year-old woman, both from Sidcup, and a 23-year-old woman from Greenhithe have been bailed until 27 September.
