Edite Titane murder hunt: Man arrested in Rochester

A 24-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of a 22-year-old woman in Kent.

The body of Edite Titane was found at a house in Cecil Road, Rochester, on Monday. A post-mortem examination showed she had been strangled.

Kent Police said the man was arrested in Rochester High Street at 20:30 BST on Tuesday and was being questioned.

Police had been looking for Ms Titane's husband, 24-year-old Agris Titans, in connection with the murder.

Ms Titane, who is from Latvia, moved to Medway in April to be closer to family.

Mr Titans moved to Medway three months ago in search of work.
