A hairdresser from Kent ordered to take down a billboard poster of his wife after complaints it showed too much cleavage, has been told it can stay.

Marcello Marino had put up the "lively and modern" poster of his wife Yaice on the side of his salon in Ramsgate.

Thanet District Council told him to remove it because he did not have planning permission but six months on the council had relented, he said.

"I always knew I would win. It shows up my work, I'm really artistic," he said.

Mr Marino said the authority had now given him planning consent.

He added that the poster had done wonders for his business, and given his customers something to talk about.
