Raiders threaten man with mallet in Sheerness robbery
A cashier was threatened with a mallet and then held in an arm lock during a cash robbery at a newsagent's in Kent, police have revealed.
The two robbers raided the till at the shop in Queen's Way, Sheerness and escaped in a silver Alfa Romeo.
More details about the robbery on 7 December and CCTV images of the raiders have been released in an effort to generate new lines of inquiry.
"This was a callous and cowardly crime," said Sgt Neil Kimber.
"I would urge the public to study these images and anyone who may recognise the men should contact us."
Both men are described as white, slim and about 5ft 5in tall. One was wearing a black hooded ski jacket with his face covered with a blue striped scarf.
The other was wearing a blue jacket with a black scarf covering his face.
